PERSONNE[s] is a photographic project that delves into the lives of those forgotten by society, relegated to the margins. Through a series of poignant and profoundly human images, CAINO captures the stories of real individuals, giving face and voice to those who are too often overlooked.
The title PERSONNE[s] draws on the dual meaning of the French word, which translates both as “person” and “nobody.” This linguistic nuance reflects the reality of the subjects depicted: human beings with unique and meaningful lives, yet frequently unseen by the wider world.
The aim of the project is to turn each image into a space for contemplation, creating a bridge between the viewer and those on the edges of society. Each photograph serves as a silent yet powerful testimony, an invitation to transcend indifference and rediscover our shared humanity.
With PERSONNE[s], CAINO explores the tension between presence and absence, recognition and oblivion, encouraging the viewer to pause and reflect on what is too often ignored.
